GROWWFITTI growing street art

Welcome to GROWFITTI where you can add colour to public spaces in Amsterdam.  

The plants will do the growing & you can direct their path and select what flowers to grow. Creating bio-art made with local wildflowers.

backstory:

It is 2040 in Amsterdam. Much has changed in the Netherlands as the country has moved itself within the EU Green Deal and IPCC policies. Bio-industry has been replaced with smaller (and fewer) sustainable farmers, agroforestry and urban farming. Schiphol airport has slimmed down to 10% of the flight level of 2021 and is building air ships. Most commercial streets and spaces have radically changed to be more about community than capital and the Bijenkort - the former biggest mall of the city - is now a space for repair shops, artisanal workshops and city volunteering. Public space is now considerd to be for the people and public transport is free.

Much of the city is organised by neighbourhoud committees or specific city-wide committees that interact with each other.
